Popular clothing store H&M recently released a new collection featuring Justin Bieber’s likeliness and lyrics printed across several clothing pieces. The pop star took to his Instagram to denounce the release, stating that H&M released the collaborative collection without his approval. “I didn’t approve any of the merch collection that they put up at H&M,” he wrote in a now-taken down Instagram story post. “All without my permission and approval. SMH I wouldn’t buy it if I were you.”
In a statement to CBC News, H&M denies any wrongdoing pertaining to the matter. “As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M followed proper approval procedures,” H&M explained. None of the mentioned products are listed for purchase on either of H&M’s Canadian or American websites.
