Coming off the release of his popular 2020 album, “Evolution,” Joyner Lucas has returned with the recent drop of his newest 2021 single, “Duck Duck Goose.” The Massachusetts rapper is commonly known for his third album release, “ADHD,” which was officially reported to have sold ‘over 39,000 album-equivalent units,’ and managed to reach the No. 10 spot on the US Billboard 200 back when it was initially published. Now, the 33-year-old artist is refreshed and back to bless the ears of his listeners with his fifth drop of the year, which is already seeming to have his fans buzzing.
Joyner comes onto the track with a fast flow that at first takes you by surprise but steadily reels you in with his smooth wordplay and the overall energy he gives off. The artist decided to take the solo route with no added features on this specific song, however, he did give credit to Gary Lucas for assisting him with the final lyrics of the single. Officially released on Friday, October 29, 2021, on behalf of Twenty Nine Music Group, “Duck Duck Goose” has already propelled itself onto multiple top streaming playlists such as Spotify’s RapCaviar; not to mention being achieved with little to no promotion behind it.
The official music video for this song was also dropped on the same day as the release of the track and can be found exclusively on Joyner Lucas’ Youtube channel. The rapper announced the release of everything this past Friday with a clip of the video that he uploaded to his Instagram account, along with the simple caption, “Link in bio,” to help direct his audience to his new music. This single quickly follows the drop of his previous track “Late to the Party” (feat. Ty Dolla $ign), which was released two weeks prior on October 8.
