Former East Harlem, New York rapper Joe Budden is mainly known for his work throughout the music industry, but recently switched lanes back in 2015 with the release of his now hit podcast, the Joe Budden Podcast. He has been hosting the podcast ever since along with his two co-stars Rory Farrell and Marisa Mendez. His most recent episode, “Y’all Must Be New Here,” aired exclusively on his Youtube channel this past Thursday, November 4, 2021. At some point throughout their discussion, Budden and his guests decided that they would take the time to venture off into a conversation about how DaBaby was previously being brutally canceled by the LGBTQ community.
Parks made a guest appearance on set, in which he read the following statement in reference to DaBaby’s situation: “CEO of the LGBTQ+ organization, Relationship Unleashed, Gwendolyn D. Clemons revealed that she and the others from the non-profit signed off on DaBaby’s appearance at Rolling Loud New York, this past weekend.” He quickly followed up with, “Damn, you have to be “okayed” by the gays to perform?” Most people are familiar with Joe Budden’s love of trolling people on the internet. Keeping that in mind, Budden cut off everyone who was trying to speak in order to conduct the response, “How do I get this out, how do I spread the word. Listen, I like guys and girls. Spread the word. I’m down, I’ve seen enough.”
Obviously making a joke in response to what his guest had previously read, viewers of his popular podcast took it upon themselves the edit the short clip of him speaking, making it seem as if the 41-year-old former artist was officially coming out as bisexual. Being the comedic and unconcerned personality that he is, Budden even sent out a post to his Twitter account that encouraged the troll that he newly began. He captioned the post, “Ahhhhhhh, I see the word got out!! Continue to spread the word please.” It is clear that Joe Budden was not actually coming out as bisexual, but at the same time has no concern for the people who believe that he truly did.
