Fresh off his second win against former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley, Jake Paul has been all over the internet calling out various champions and professional fighters of all genres. Recently, the youngest Paul brother publicly called out professional mixed martial artist Jorge Masvidal, along with offering a proposal to the President of UFC Dana White. Not only did the 25-year-old undefeated boxing athlete offer to fight Masvidal, but he also claimed to possibly retire from boxing as a part of the executive agreement.

Paul uploaded a post to his Twitter account on Saturday, January 1, 2022, that read, “Happy new year Dana White. Here is a real challenge for you… I will immediately retire from boxing and fight Jorge Masvidal in the UFC if you agree to the following.” He went on to add, “Increase min fighter pay per fight to 50k, guarantee UFC fighters 50% of UFC annual revenues, and provide long term healthcare to all fighters.” Viewers had mixed opinions about this specific proposal, however, it surprisingly would not take long for Dana White to upload a video of his response.

“Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor, Mike Tyson… These are all superstars, you are not,” White stated in a video he posted to his Instagram account. “You cannot sell pay-per-views so you do whatever the hell you want to do, I am ready to roll,” he added. Transparently turning down the athlete’s offer, it still seems to be unknown about who exactly Jake Paul’s next opponent will be. According to the feedback from these two personalities’ virtual interactions, it seems as if most people want to see Paul switch up into mixed martial artists, possibly because they believe he would not be able to last against a handful of the current superstars.
