This past Saturday, December 18, 2021, Youtuber turned fighter Jake Paul competed in an intense rematch against his former opponent Tryon Woodley. Initially set to take on Tommy Fury who was forced to back out of the match due to unexpected medical conditions- the youngest Paul brother came out of the Amalie Arena still an undefeated boxer, adding an additional knockout to his career record. The head-to-head battle lasted a total of six rounds before the Ohio native took matters into his own hands and sent the former athlete unconscious with one clean punch to the jaw.
The last time these two personalities met in the ring was back in August of this year after going the distance in all eight rounds and ending in a surprise split-decision by the judges, crowning Jake as the winner. With this KO victory against the man who has an ‘I love Jake Paul’ tattoo on the inside on his middle finger, the newest addition to the boxing industry has officially knocked out every opponent who has professionally entered the ring with him being AnEsonGib via TKO: Nate Robinson via KO: Ben Askren via TKO and the latest Tryon Woodley via SD and KO.
Both fighters later showed mutual respect towards each other at the conclusion of the match. Paul even took the time to join Woodley during his post-fight interview in which he stated to him, “All love bro. I told you we were going to go the distance, respect.” Paul then went on to call out multiple UFC contenders such as Masvidal and Nate Diaz when he claimed, “The fact that I proved I have one-punch power, people are going to be scared… That’s why Masvidal and Nate Diaz got up out of their seats and left because they didn’t want me to jump out of the ring and start going at them,” referring to the two athletes walking out of the main event early. With this win, Jake Paul now continues his professional boxing career with an undefeated record as he looks for his next opponent throughout the fighting industry.
