HBO max crashed as users flooded to stream the Euphoria Season 2 finale, leaving fans with error messages. Issues arrived around 8:55 p.m. Eastern Time with error messages reading, “Can’t Connect. We’re having issues connecting to HBO Max right now. Please try again.” The issue would peak at 9:05 p.m. ET when there were over 52,000 complaints.

The show has increased in viewership greatly since its second season premiered. The very first day out, the Season 2 premiere accumulated about 13.1 million viewers on HBO and HBO Max. The following two episodes followed suit, coming in at 6.6 million viewers on average, which would be doubling last season’s viewership.

Despite Super Bowl Sunday, Euphoria viewers eagerly awaited the next installment of the drama series. Even though a majority of America was tuned into the Super Bowl, the HBO-only program saw a series-high of 5.1 million viewers on that night alone.
