As of December 25, 2021, popular Atlanta rapper Gunna officially became the most recent artist to surpass a total of 10 billion streams exclusively on his Spotify account. This year alone Gunna has continuously featured on widely streamed singles such as Too Easy (with Future), 9 Times Outta 10 (with Taurus), and even contributed his talents towards CEO Trayle’s Ok Cool (Remix). The 28-year-old also released a plethora of hit projects such as Slime Language 2, Drip or Drown, Drip Season, Drip Harder, Drip or Drown 2, Drip Season 3, and so many more.
Being one of YSL’s most well-known artists, aside from Young Thug, Gunna has rapidly made himself a force to be reckoned with throughout his short time in the music industry. The young rapper claimed his first big jump in the industry back in 2017 with the release of his sophomore album Drip Season 2 that featured various multi-platinum selling artists being Offset, Playboi Carti, HoodRich Pablo Juan, and Young Thug. YSL (feat. Playboi Carti) was the initial fan favorite of the project and quickly managed to become the most-streamed single on the album. However, there is absolutely no comparison between the music he created in 2017 to the timeless pieces he is currently putting out today.
Most recently, the Georgia-born celebrity has been teasing the drop of his highly anticipated project DS4EVER, which was previously mentioned to be released onto all streaming platforms in early January. There are currently no specifics on who will be featured on the project and just exactly how many tracks will be put onto the album, but if one thing is for certain it is that Gunna will not disappoint his listeners. Even with receiving all of the attention he has been getting due to his recent historical accomplishments, the young personality continues to stay focused on the future as looks to confidently publicize another hit album at the beginning of the new year.
