This past Monday, September 13, 2021, rapper G-Eazy was arrested for alleged assault outside of a hotel in New York City. A 32-year-old man and a 29-year-old man filed a police report against the California artist for him and his crew supposedly attacking the victims faces, which caused as the New York City Police Department stated, “pain and redness.” G-Eazy was arrested outside of the Standard High Line hotel just before officially being charged with two counts of assault and being given a ticket for a court date in the near future. Simultaneously, the two injured men seeked minor medical attention from local officials, but luckily did not require the assistance of a nearby hospital; one of the gentlemen refused to be examined by a medical professional.
The dispute initially took place in the Boom Boom room of the hotel where a few members of the rappers group got into an escalating altercation with a few locals from a separate party. The scene was quickly taken outside after witnesses claim to have seen someone from G-Eazy’s party hit someone over the head with a glass bottle; G-Eazy was seen striking a man in the face minutes before people were being removed from each other on the street. Neither the artist or anyone else from the seemingly unnecessary argument have made a public statement on the situation.
The 32-year-old multi-millionaire is coming off the release of the deluxe version of his 2017 album, “The Beautiful & Damned,” which was officially platinum certified in January 2019. G-Eazy recently attended the 2021 MTV VMAs among many other artists and musicians such as Justin Bieber, Kane Brown, Billie Eilish, Jack Harlow and Miley Cyrus. However, unfortunately by the looks of his current situation, it does not seem as if we will be receiving new music anytime soon as he will undoubtedly be caught up in his legal situation.
