Everyone is familiar with Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy’s ongoing social media antics that have been taking place for the past couple of years. The artist has made himself a comedian throughout Instagram with the continuous videos of him claiming to be “the first rapper” to do just about anything. However, his most recent announcement takes the cake as the “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” artist uploaded a post to his Twitter account this past Wednesday, November 10, 2021. The post confidently stated, “I was the first rapper to get an apology from Kanye West,” followed by a laughing emoji and a hand with one finger pointed towards the sky.
The 31-year-old entrepreneur is referring back to an early incident that originally took place back in August of this year when Kanye released his highly anticipated album “DONDA.” According to Soulja, he was initially working with Kanye over the phone for weeks prior to the project’s release, and was planned to be featured on the specific track “Remote Control.” He released a tweet in response to being left off the album back in August that read, “I don’t know how to feel, Kanye sent me that song ‘Remote Control’ and I don’t hear my verse on it… hmm f**k that n***a.” Despite what he previously said, it seems as if Kanye has made amends with his fellow artist and offered him the sincere apology that he deserves. However, nothing was made public besides Soulja’s most recent tweet.
Soulja Boy is currently fresh off the release of his latest single, “Pulling Up,” that dropped onto all streaming platforms this past Monday, November 9. Released on behalf of SODMG Records, the solo track shows a soft side of the artist where he not only raps but sings over the course of an enjoyable 2 minutes and 10 seconds.
