One of the stars of the 2004 Nickelodeon comedy “Drake & Josh,” Drake Bell, was recently charged with child endangerment of a 15-year-old girl and faced up to a maximum of 2 years behind bars. This case came to light back in 2018 when a nameless girl confessed to her local police department that she had been having inappropriate conversations with the 35-year-old actor via social media, while also sending ‘inappropriate material.’ Surprisingly so, the actor pleaded guilty to his charges of child endangerment on account of the proof of messages, along with the true allegations that he has ‘developed a relationship’ with the young girl through their social media accounts.

After waiting almost three whole years for his sentencing the day finally came this past Monday, June 12, 2021. Shockingly not facing any prison time, Bell was released after the court adjourned with 2 years of probation, which does not seem bad compared to the 2 years in prison that he was originally up against. He has been set to serve his probationary time in the state of California where he resides. Not only served with that but the former Nickelodeon star was also given a punishment of 200 hours of community service and if he fails to keep his end of the bargain, he can easily still be facing up to a year in prison for his crime.

Bell took his sentencing just as he should and simply accepted it after he apologized to the court and to the victim stating he “did not intend to do any harm.” However this being the most he can do to make up for the situation at this point, the woman expressed how what the actor had done caused “irreparable harm.” It was not completely understood what Bell had typed or sent in the messages shared between the two, but after the victim shed more light during their Zoom court session it is now clear as to why the victim wanted some sort of justice for their ‘sexual’ internet interactions.
