Son of the legendary American entertainer and stunt performer, Robert Craig ‘Evil’ Knievel, Robbie Knievel has passed away at the age of 60. The news was released to the public this past Friday, January 13, 2023, shortly after the confirmation of his death at a local hospice facility in the Reno, Nevada area. Robbie’s sister, Kelly Knievel, vocalized a short statement after the publication of her beloved brother’s passing:
“Daredevils do not live easy lives… He was a great daredevil and people don’t really understand how scary it is, what my brother did.” Otherwise a healthy man, Knievel was privately suffering from a long-term battle with pancreatic cancer, tragically resulting in the famed-personalities death. Robbie leaves behind his three daughters – Karmen, Krysten, and Maria – and two loving grandchildren, Kane and Analise.
Following in the footsteps of his late father, Knievel went on to break a handful of mind-boggling records with solely himself and his motorcycle. Most notably, Robbie completed a record-breaking jump, one that his father almost died from attempting in 1967, over the Caesars Palace fountains in Las Vegas, Nevada almost 30 years later — The Butte, Montana-born icon has gone on to finish plenty of other heart-stopping stunts such as the popular Las Vegas strip jump over 30 limousines at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas (1998), a jump between two buildings at the Jockey Club (1999), a Grand Canyon leap (1999), and so many more.
