Founded in March 2002, Elon Musk’s SpaceX has grown into one of the biggest Spacecraft engineering corporations on the planet. Looking to become the biggest on other planets as well, the multi-billionaire recently elaborated on his previous idea to colonize Mars as the new home planet to future humans. Through his company, the SpaceX CEO plans to send thousands of people to the Red Planet over the upcoming years, in order to officially establish Mars as a habitable planet for human beings.
Musk gave a previous explanation of his thought process when deciding to move forward with this specific idea: “Why are we doing this? I think it is an incredibly important thing for the future of life itself … there is always some chance that something could go wrong on Earth. Dinosaurs are not around anymore! — Life cannot just be about solving problems. There have to be things that inspire you, that move your heart. When you wake up in the morning, you are excited about the future.” The 51-year-old’s most notable statement was hoping to have the colonization process in the works “before the start of WW3” or before a “natural disaster” eliminates Earth’s population.
