Polo G has been the topic of discussion this past week as it has officially been reported that the rapper was arrested this past Monday, September 6, 2021, on weapons charges. The bust took place in downtown Los Angeles where the Chicago artist was involved in a routine pull-over, in which officers found Polo G with a concealed firearm on his person. California law declares this act as a felony at which the young icon would then get into a slight verbal battle with a few officers until they were eventually able to get everything under control.
The 22-year-old artist was surprised by this seemingly unnecessary traffic stop that took place around 4:50 p.m. western time. Officials have yet to release the exact reason for pulling over the vehicle that Polo G was in, as the only information was given was that it was in relation to a “traffic infraction.” Polo G, a.k.a. Taurus Bartlett, was just one out of two people in the car who were removed and booked on what appears to be the same exact charges. This is not the first time he has gotten into trouble or been brought up on gun charges specifically.
This arrest is following the release of Polo’s 2020 album “Hall Of Fame” which reached the peak of Billboard’s Top 200 chart. The project sold approximately 143,000 units at the end of its first week which opened up a major for the young artist, making this his only album to obtain a top stop on the charts. He released this project last June and included multiple features from popular artists such as G Herbo, Lil Wayne, The Kid LAROI, Roddy Ricch, Fivio Foreign, DaBaby, Nicki Minaj, Young Thug, and Pop Smoke. “Hall of Fame” can be found on all streaming platforms today as Polo G continues to slip through the fingers of local police.
