Renowned tech billionaire and art collector, Yusaku Maezawa is auctioning off his one-of-one wall-size Basquiat Painting for $70 Million. The tech mogul came across the painting 6-years ago and although his name wasn’t as known in the art scene as much it was in tech he would buy it for a record-breaking $57.3 million. Known for founding Japan’s largest online fashion mall, the now 46-year old billionaire who recently rocketed to the international space station is sending his prized possession to auction and should see a large return for holding and taking care of the artwork.

Jean-Micheal Basquiat was an American artist who rose to success during the 1980s as a part of the Neo-expressionism movement. The late great artist passed away from Heroin overdose but his works continue to catch the attention of the masses and known socialites like Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Madonna.
