Two popular rappers who currently reside in the California area have recently released an unexpected EP this past Friday, October 29, 2021. Big Sean and Hit-Boy have been storming through 2021 with their multiple collaborative tracks that include “It Ain’t My Fault” (feat. Babyface Ray), “What A Life,” and the newly introduced EP “What You Expect.” The project contains a total of 6 songs over the course of a soothing 18 minutes and 55 seconds of musical talent. “What You Expect” withholds just four separate features throughout the span of two tracks, not including Big Sean and Hit-Boy, which have already seemed to be claimed as the most popular songs of the project.
Both artists were able to obtain few, but major multi-platinum selling artists for one of their many collaborative albums. Lil Durk and Bryson Tiller featured on “Loyal To A Fault,” while Babyface Ray and 42 Dugg made their voices heard on “Offense.” 2021 officially marks the 10th year anniversary of when Big Sean and Hit-Boy first began dropping collaboration projects. The journey follows all the way back to 2011 when both rappers first released “Lay It on Me” (feat. Kelly Rowland), then continuing in 2012 with “Clique”, and so on. Hit-Boy also made an appearance on Big Sean’s popular 2020 album, “Detroit 2,” which debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 with over 103,000 album-equivalent units sold; he was featured on the track “Respect It” (feat. Hit-Boy & Young Thug). “Offense” (feat. Babyface Ray & 42 Dugg) has already propelled itself onto multiple streaming playlists such as RapCaviar on Spotify, making it clear which track fans have been admiring the most. Both Big Sean and Hit-Boy are looking to head into 2022 with a little momentum, and by the looks of their current situation, may have just released the correct project to do so.
