Candace Amber Owens Farmer is a well-known American author who previously vocalized her opinions on today’s society through her currently streamed 2021 television show, The Candace Owens Show. Not only this, but the 33-year-old activist also published her first-ever novel, Blackout: How Black America Can Make Its Second Escape From The Democrat Plantation, back in February 2020, giving her people across the country a new outlook on the place they call ‘home.’
Most recently, the political pundit made the abrupt and unexpected legal threat to the family of George Floyd – the Black citizen who was brutally suffocated by a police officer for over eight minutes – claiming that she has continuously pondered the idea of taking them to court. The topic began during a recent podcast where Owens brought up the bold question, “Should I sue George Floyd’s family?”
She elaborated, “I am also sick of frivolous lawsuits. You know, if this is actually considered credible, if you can sue somebody because you are feeling ‘emotionally distressed’ because of them going out and saying things, well then I think that I have grounds to sue George Floyd’s estate.” This specific conversation had commenced after the discussion of the previous topic in which Floyd’s family almost filed a case against Donda rapper, Ye. The lawsuit was never filed.
