Soulja Boy recently announced the quite surprising business move he has previously made with well-known gaming company Atari. The Atlanta rapper has yet to reveal how he and the company began to cross paths but he was very clear on his new position in being the newest owner of the entire gaming corporation. He released this information on August 18, 2021, during an Instagram live video after he was seen in a Youtube video wearing an Atari hat and sweatshirt prior to his announcement. While breaking the news the artist made sure to drop his signature phrase in officially being “the first rapper to own a video gaming company;” looking to ignite the fire inside of his peers in order for them to step up their game.
Containing approximately 2,000 people on his Instagram live, the 31-year-old rapper went on to brag about his new accomplishment when saying, “We are going to take Atari to the next level. I am now the owner of Atari. I own the video company Atari…HAHA.” During the unexpected announcement, Soulja slipped in the fact that he will soon be selling the entire company for $140 million to an, as of right now, the buyer is unknown.
Big Draco has been a part of the entrepreneurial world for over a decade now with his recent works in his soap company (The Soap Shop), watch selling business, and the biggest one that gained the attention of Atari in the first place the SouljaGame consoles and handhelds. “They were really proud of me for what I did with the SouljaGame console. Atari reached out…I just signed two deals with Atari,” the artist explained how he came in contact with the company. As of right now, Atari has yet to confirm the announcement made by the alleged newest owner of the gaming giant. While there are no signs of these accusations being false, there is also no evidence of it being true yet.
