As of September 6, 2021, Travis Scott has given his audience a much closer look at the highly anticipated drop of his latest collaboration with the popular athletic wear corporation, Nike. The Houston, Texas rapper has done multiple fashions and footwear collaborations with this company in the past, and judging by the overall results of each one, decided to continue building his unique style with the continuously growing business. This time Travis chose to create his own take on another timeless footwear piece, the Nike Air Max 1, by adding his own specific colorway to the shoe and customizing it to his own liking by putting his popular Cactus Jack logo on the back of the shoe.
This individual take on the Nike Air Max 1 consists of the Nike swoosh on the back of one shoe, while the famous Cactus Jack logo is clearly imprinted on the back of its twin. Withholding multiple shades of brown, the sneaker comes equipped with its very own structural design, so that the customer wearing the shoe can feel as comfortable as if they were not; this design expresses various similarities to Travis’ previous fashion drops by having a relaxing earthy vibe and tone to the sneaker. The strictly lace-to-wear shoe has the original Nike logo raised out of the side of the shoe as just about an inch of height is supported by the signature bottom of the Air Max.
Both Travis Scott and Nike have yet to publicly announce an official release date for their newest popular footwear item. However, rumors have it that Nike and Cactus Jack will reveal the drop together for their fans this upcoming holiday season; most likely before the end of 2021. Pricing for the collaborative shoe is also still classified, but judging based on their previous joint projects will be given a cheaper price than your average athletic clothing store.
