As expected, a recent survey has revealed that a significant portion of individuals using Tinder are currently in committed relationships. According to NBC News, the study indicated that 65.3 percent of surveyed Tinder users were already involved in a relationship or, in certain instances, even married. Furthermore, only 50.3 percent of respondents stated that their intention for using the app was to meet someone in person.

According to a Tinder spokesperson’s response to the study, Tinder has been downloaded over 530 million times and has facilitated more than 75 billion matches. They further mentioned that over half of Tinder’s user base falls within the age range of 18 to 25. Additionally, Tinder’s in-app feature called ‘Relationship Goals’ allows users to indicate their intentions. Globally, approximately 40 percent of Tinder members state that they are seeking a long-term relationship, while 13 percent are specifically looking for a short-term connection.
