Nelly Reportedly Sells Half of His Music Catalog $50 Million

The investment firm HarbourView Equity Partners recently made a significant acquisition by purchasing a portion of Nelly’s music catalog.

As per reports from Variety, Nelly, and HarbourView Equity Partners reached a partnership agreement where the company acquired “select” recorded-music assets from the rapper. TMZ further states that Nelly received $50 million as part of the deal, which reportedly encompasses approximately half of his catalog, including popular hits like “Hot in Herre” and “Dilemma,” featuring Kelly Rowland. This acquisition highlights the ongoing trend of significant investments in music catalogs and the recognition of their enduring value.

“As artists, we put our heart and soul into each track and there comes a time when you consider preservation of that artistry,” Nelly said. “My music is my legacy which I want to last beyond me, continuing to make my existing fans happy while reaching new generations and new audiences. I am excited to partner with HarbourView to create opportunities for discovery of my music decades from now.”
