According to TMZ, Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, has requested $248,000 per month in child support for their three children. She argues that this amount will allow them to maintain a standard of living similar to what they experience while in Costner’s care. Baumgartner’s request includes additional expenses such as private school, healthcare, and extracurricular activities.
Baumgartner states that their family often took lavish trips to destinations like Aspen, the Caribbean, and Hawaii, with chefs and caterers present. She also mentions that Costner paid $2 million per year for home maintenance.
While Costner’s annual income exceeded $19 million last year, according to Baumgartner, it may decline with the conclusion of the series Yellowstone. The show’s fifth season will reportedly be it’s last, and Costner has reduced his filming commitment. He is now focused on his upcoming Western series, Horizon, where he will serve as the star and director.
Costner currently earns $1.3 million per episode of Yellowstone, as reported by Variety. TMZ sources claim that Costner already covers all of the children’s expenses and has offered to pay an additional $38,000 per month. Baumgartner contends that their family’s expenses totaled $6.6 million last year.
