Most people recall the previous arrest of popular Fort Lauderdale, Florida rapper Jamell Maurice Demons, more commonly known as YNW Melly. Taking place back in February 2019 (almost three years ago), Melly was brought up on multiple criminal charges including “two counts of premeditated first-degree murder,” and if convicted, “facing life in prison without the possibility of parole,” according to official court documents. Initially supposed to occur back in July of this year, Demons’ trial has now been pushed back to an undetermined date; he is pleading not guilty. Melly is presently another prime suspect in an ongoing 2017 case that included the murder of a sheriff’s deputy.
