Earlier this week, a middle-aged man was seen willingly jumping to his death off of a high Disneyland parking structure in the California area. Later identified as Christopher Christensen (51) – the principal of Huntington, California’s own William T. Newland Elementary School – officers of the Orange County Coroner’s Office first arrived at the location of the devastating incident around 9:00 p.m. (PST), where Christensen was swiftly pronounced dead on the scene.

According to local authorities, “tram services were shut down as a result of the tragic occurrence, and parkgoers were told to walk back to their cars as police reported to the scene to close the amusement park.” Disney’s Board Chair Susan Arnold went on to release a public statement regarding the unexpected tragedy: “The Board has concluded that as Disney embarks on an increasingly complex period of industry transformation, Bob Iger (Disney Chief Executive Officer) is uniquely situated to lead the Company through this pivotal period.” Coincidentally, this specific disastrous event took place on the same day that Disney CEO Bob Iger arrived in California to visit the exact theme park; he was supported by the presence of the Disney Parks Chairmen, Josh D’Amaro, who was also appalled by the abrupt news.
