Various rumors have been surfacing throughout social media and the soccer community relating to the longtime star striker for the Portugal national football team, Cristiano Ronaldo. After previously confirming his resignation from the Manchester United club back in early November of this year, Ronaldo has continued to make it known that he is a current free-agent and is open to hearing offers for his talents.

The most recent rumor to be confirmed as “not true” by the all-star athlete occurred this past Tuesday, December 6, 2022, after leading his home country to a confident 6-1 victory against Switzerland in the 16th round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. False rumors claimed that the newly pronounced free agent was planning to “sign a 2 ½-year contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, in a deal that is potentially worth approximately $200 million per season; totaling almost $500 million at the end,” according to multiple verified sources — Ronaldo put all of the rumors to rest during an exclusive postgame interview, where he simply stated, “No, it is not true,” reassuring all of his fans around the world.

As the 37-year-old forward continues to search for a new franchise to accurately represent his athletic ability and talents, Cristiano still remains focused on the current task at hand which is paving the way for his squad to a highly sought-after World Cup win. Coming off their clearly dominant victory over Switzerland, Portugal now turns their full attention and efforts towards defeating their next obstacle, Morocco, this upcoming Saturday (Dec. 10) at 10:00 A.M. EST.
