Robert Sylvester Kelly, commonly known by his stage name R. Kelly, has surprisingly released a brand new album, I Admit It, this past Friday, December 9, 2022, straight behind the bars of his prison cell. The 55-year-old singer is currently serving his 30-year prison sentence on nine counts of federal racketeering, child pornography, superseding indictment, exploitation, sex trafficking, and many more.

This specific project comes just five months after Kelly’s sentencing and his most recent full body of work since the publication of his solo project, 12 Nights Of Christmas, released to all streaming platforms on October 21, 2016. However, unlike all of his other previous tracks and shortly after its release, I Admit It was swiftly pulled from major platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify. While the reasons for the removal of his project have yet to be vocalized to the public, consumers across the country can only rightfully assume that it has something to do with Kelly’s previous trial sentencing.
