J. Alexander Kueng has recently been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison for the death of George Floyd. The former Minneapolis officer is one of the four cops who were charged in the murder of Floyd, who died in May 2020 while in police custody. Kueng is seen kneeling on Floyd’s back, while another officer, Derek Chauvin kneeled on Mr. Floyd’s neck.

Footage reveals Kueng, Chauvin, and another officer Thomas Lane pinning Floyd to the ground, as a fourth officer Tou Thao, stood nearby preventing the public from intervening. After about 10 minutes on the ground, Floyd appeared to lose consciousness and was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A autopsy reported his death to be a homicide.
