Rapper PnB Rock Shot Dead After Attempted Robbery In Los Angeles

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania rapper Rakim Hasheem Allen, better known by his stage name PnB Rock, was the unfortunate victim of a shooting in the Los Angeles, California area. Occurring this past Monday, September 12, 2022, the young artist was reportedly having a meal with his girlfriend at a local Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles location when they were approached by the man that would take his life. Medical officials claim the 30-year-old father of one was struck with multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was later pronounced dead within just 45 minutes of his transportation to the hospital; there has yet to be a recorded arrest for this specific case.

This past Tuesday, Atlantic Records released a heartfelt statement in regards to this devastating incident – “This news is heavy on our hearts and we are all hurting over this senseless loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.” Rock received his first big jump back a year after the release of his 2016 hit single, Selfish, when he was selected to be a part of the 2017 XXL Freshman Class.

Prior to the attack, PnB’s girlfriend posted their location on her Instagram account which is leading officers to assume is the source of where the criminal had found his whereabouts. “He was with his family — with his girlfriend or some kind of friend of his — and as they were there, enjoying a simple meal, [he] was brutally attacked by an individual who apparently [came] to the location after a social media posting,” Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore announced. As nobody knows what truly led to the killing of an innocent PnB Rock, only time will tell as the police continue to investigate the vicious attack.
