Tarzana, Los Angeles County, California woman LaQuedra Edwards put forty dollars into a lottery vending machine at a local Vons Supermarket, little did she know her life would soon be changed forever. According to a recent press release, Edwards claimed to have bought the wrong ticket number after a “rude person” bumped into her while she was purchasing her ticket.

“He just bumped into me, didn’t say a thing, and just walked out of the door,” the woman stated in regards to the random interaction at the supermarket. “I didn’t really believe it at first, but I got on the 405 freeway and kept looking down at (the ticket), and I almost crashed my car… I pulled over, looked at it again and again, scanned it with my [California Lottery mobile] app, and I just kept thinking this cannot be right.”

The location of this specific Vons Supermarket, where the ticket was bought, will also receive a $50,000 bonus, on top of the $10 million that will soon be awarded to Edwards. “I am still in shock,” Edwards continued in the press release. “All I remember saying once I found out how much I just won was, ‘I’m rich!’”
