This past Wednesday, April 13, 2022, an alleged trespasser was seemingly shot as he was attempting to enter the popular rapper, DaBaby’s home in Charlotte, North Carolina. Authorities initially received a call around 7:45 p.m. before swiftly arriving on the scene and finding the wounded on the artist’s football field in front of his multi-million dollar mansion. The Rockstar entrepreneur was reportedly home at the time of the shooting, however, it has not yet been confirmed to the public who had fired the weapon.
“Officers arrived on the scene where they found one subject suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound,” the Troutman Police Department stated in a public explanation of the incident. “The subject was transported by Iredell County EMS to a medical facility for treatment… No information as to the names of those involved or the circumstances can be released at this time. This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community at large.”
This is not the first time DaBaby has been involved with opening fire on another person. The last occasion took place back in 2019 at a local Walmart location in the Huntersville, North Carolina area. The incident resulted in the death of the victim, in which the 30-year-old rapper pleaded guilty, and only ended in DaBaby pulling out his weapon due to the fact that his young daughter was in danger. “Buddy ain’t deserve to go, I step righteously. Heal up and live my boy!,” the artist posted to his Instagram story just days after the shooting.
