An old video of the Hollywood couple Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith has recently resurfaced and is currently going viral on all social media platforms. After the widely known incident of Will smacking his fellow actor, Chris Rock, at the 2022 Academy Awards Ceremony, an anonymous fan went back to crop a short clip of an episode from Jada’s popular talk show series Red Table Talk: A series of episodes that consist of ‘Jada, her daughter, Willow, and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, discuss a wide variety of topics,’ according to representatives of the show.

The 2018 video shows Jada elaborating on a handful of different aspects of her romantic relationship, while also shedding light on certain reasons behind her decisions. “I was under so much pressure, you know, being a young actress, being young, and I was just, like, pregnant, and I just did not know what to do,” Pinkett Smith stated in the short clip of her talk show.

“I never wanted to be married,” she added with a slight chuckle towards her daughter. “I really did not want to get married. We only got married because Gammy was crying… It was almost as if Gammy was like, ‘You have to get married, so let’s talk about the wedding.’” Adrienne then went on to respond to her daughter’s comments with, “I remember feeling very strongly and wanted you guys to be married,” clearly inferring that Jada’s previous statement was correct.
