Over 100 citizens who attended the same New Jersey high school have all been coincidentally diagnosed with similar cases involving the growth of rare cancerous brain tumors. Colonia High School, located in Woodbridge, New Jersey, is the home of this unfortunate and confusing situation, however, most people to be recognized with this specific diagnosis are known to have previously graduated from the school approximately three decades ago. 50-year-old Al Lupiano, who graduated back in 1989, was the first to uncover the hidden source of where his unique tumor had originated; his wife Michelle and his sister Angela were also diagnosed with the same form of cancer, after both graduating from Colonia in 1991 and 1995.

“I had told my sister from the very beginning that there was too much of a coincidence that me, my wife, and he all have the same tumor,” Lupiano stated in a post uploaded to his personal Facebook account. “I had recalled two family friends, the Black sisters, who had also passed from these brain tumors… That started setting off bells and whistles in my head — I need your help, Facebook. If you were affected or have a tumor or rare cancer, I need your assistance.”

Mayor of Woodbridge Township, John McCormac, had a few words of his own in regards to the extreme cancer cases newly discovered within his district. “It is alarming because there are just so many people with a tumor – malignant or benign, and it is serious… We have to really take a look at it,” McCormac announced. With the help of his township and through the power of social media, both Lupiano and McCormac have made individual promises to “uncover the truth,” according to an exclusive interview with the Star-Ledger. The total number of Colonia High School graduates that are continuing to find new tumors is swiftly increasing as the days move forward, making this situation a top priority for the local New Jersey township.
