As of Friday, March 25, 2022, Google has declared multiple urgent issues in regards to their billions of Chrome users around the world. The American multinational technology corporation has highly suggested that you update your website browsers in light of a recent attack on the platform’s vulnerability system. Reports claim that these specific updates are the most helpful during scenarios like this due to the fact that they withhold ‘bug fixes,’ in order for the new system to focus on removing the unwanted virus’.
“So, deep down inside your web browser, there are all these different software components that work together to do different things,” FOX19 NOW Tech Expert Dave Hatter recently stated. “This particular vulnerability with Chrome and it also affects Microsoft Edge and other browsers as well, by the way, because they all use something called the Chromium engine that Chrome is built on.”
Hatter went on to add, “The kind of attacks we see here like this Chrome thing or some of these bigger scale attacks like the JVM, meat plant or the Colonial Pipeline… Some of that is typically driven by, you know, what we nerds call nation-state or AAPT advanced persistent threat type actors, which really, generally speaking, are China and Russia, Iran and North Korea.”
All users of Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome can install the highly suggested update by clicking the three-dotted menu in the upper right-hand corner, and then the “Help” to “About” buttons that will visualize whether your specific service is available to be updated. As Microsoft continues to work on fixing the previously claimed infestation of their web browsers, users around the globe can only hope that they get their systems under control so they can proceed to use them without any worries.
