Popular female artist, Doja Cat, has claimed to be quitting music within the near future. This move seemingly came from a previous social media interaction that she had with a handful of South American fans that were bashing the young talent about not showing enough love or support towards their country. The abrupt information was released to the public through a post that was uploaded to her Twitter account this past Thursday, March 24, 2022.

“It’s gone and I don’t give a f*ck anymore,” Doja Cat stated. “I f*ckin’ quit, I can’t wait to f*cking disappear and I don’t need you to believe in me anymore. Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and I’m a f*cking fool for ever thinking I was made for this… This is a f*cking nightmare, unfollow me.” She then posted a follow-up caption shortly after the first that wrote, “This sh*t ain’t for me so I’m out, Y’all take care.” Fans also noticed that the Say So artist changed her account name to “i quit” and her social media bio’s to “lol.”

This specific news was released just two days after the 26-year-old artist was forced to cancel her performance in Paraguay due to unexpected flooding throughout the concert venue. Doja Cat is currently coming off her latest single, Freaky Deaky (feat. Tyga), which was previously made available on all streaming platforms as of February 25. Prior to that, she dropped her hit studio album, Plante Her, which embodied various featured verses from multi-platinum selling artists such as Ariana Grande, Young Thug, SZA, JID, and The Weeknd.
