President Joe Biden recently took to his Twitter account to make various public announcements in regards to his future plans with the current war between Russia and Ukraine. The attack on Ukraine previously commenced earlier this month, after Putin made the executive decision in forcing his troops to invade and murder the innocent citizens of the Eastern European country. “A direct confrontation between NATO and Russia is World War III… and something we must strive to prevent,” Biden wrote in a post he uploaded to his Twitter feed.
His caption went on to read, “I want to be clear: We will defend every inch of NATO territory with the full might of a united and galvanized NATO, but we will not fight a war against Russia in Ukraine.” With this statement, Biden is officially declaring that the United States will not participate in any violence that might initiate a war against Russia, however, they will continue to aid Ukraine in almost anything they need to survive. He concluded his tweet with, “The American people are united. The world is united. We stand with the people of Ukraine.”
“Putin’s war against Ukraine will never be a victory. He hoped to dominate Ukraine without a fight. He hoped to fracture European resolve. He hoped to weaken the trans-Atlantic Alliance. He hoped to split apart America. He failed,” Biden announced in a separate post to his social media account. “Last night, Congress passed a bipartisan spending bill that included an additional $13.6 billion in new assistance for the Ukrainian people… I look forward to signing that immediately.” As President Biden has made his future plans clear to the rest of the world, all U.S. citizens can do is hope that their president leads them through a calm and non-violent rest of his term.
