Ibiza Clubs Will Reopen In April

Great news for party-goers, ravers, vacationers, and people alike with plans for visiting Ibiza. The Spanish island has announced that it will be reopening all clubs as early as April.

The findings surrounding the tourism fair stated that Ibiza and Formentera lost $2.6m in visitor expenditure in 2020 and $1.3m in 2021 as a direct result of the coronavirus pandemic. Although financially losing due to not being able to profit from the party culture and nightlife, Ibiza was still able to recoup after COVID-19 mandates were lifted on a night-time social gatherings rule in September of last year. Countries like the United Kingdom and the United States deliver the highest amount of tourists the island sees.

According to a recent report from Diario de Ibiza, José Luis Benítez, manager of Ocio de Ibiza (Leisure of Ibiza)—an organization which represents the interests of clubs, venues, and other nightlife businesses on the island—said at Spain’s recent International Tourism Fair that the idea of opening will be at “the end of April” and that it will be happening “two weeks ahead of what is normally done.” Clubs haven’t been open across all of Ibiza since 2019.
