Tory Lanez has been all over the music industry this past year with the release of seven individual singles including his hit project “PLAYBOY.” This was soon followed up two months later by the publication of “PLAYBOY Live,” consisting of the same tracks just performed live on stage. Tory is still coming down from the hype behind his previous dropped solo single “Lady Of Namek,” in which the Canadian rapper took more of an R&B route to please his audience. The song was made public on November 15, 2021, and is played over the course of an enjoyable three minutes and 13 seconds.

However, the 29-year-old artist does not seem to be pumping the brakes anytime soon as he has now returned with the announcement of his most recent track “‘87 Stingray.” Officially released onto all streaming platforms this past Wednesday, December 1, 2021, this specific single withholds an upbeat rhythm over the span of a soothing 2 minutes and 23 seconds. Beat production was assisted by multiple outlets such as Brent Montgomery, Chazzz music, and Orlando Williamson in order to ensure the success of the song.

Accompanied alongside the single is the official music video that was made public exclusively onto Tory Lanez Youtube channel just one day after the release of the vocals. Directed by Midjordan and executive produced by Miketheproducer, the visuals for “‘87 Stingray” consists of the “Broke In A Minute” rapper jumping from multiple cutscenes, varying from a hospital room to Tory bleeding out in the middle of a convenience store. The 80s inspired track is said to be the first look into Tory’s highly anticipated album “Alone At Prom,” which was previously said to drop on December 10 of this year. As fans wait for yet another classic Tory Lanez project, it seems as if he has rightfully backed up his words with actions after noticing all of the positive feedback from his audience’s first sneak peek.
