Tyler, The Creator recently dropped an album that has been taking his fans and the world by storm. “Call Me If You Get Lost” has been trending as the number one album in the world ever since its official release on June 25, 2021. Within just the first week his project was projected to reach 175k in sales, which it would eventually reach before the album even had time to reach its full peak.
Most people know, especially if you are involved in the music industry, that New York has been very strict when it comes to group gatherings as of late. Understandably so, there have been absolutely no concerts allowed in the city and according to the public, there have not been any reported performances there so far in 2021. Judging by the personality that Tyler has shown to his audience, it is easy to assume that he completely disregarded the city’s regulations and went on to host his very own ‘secret show’ in NYC anyway. He did this to celebrate the release of “Call Me If You Get Lost” and performed various tracks to the small audience that was let into the Music Hall of Williamsburg, located in the heart of Brooklyn, New York.
It was a solo concert with the only one guest performance being Tyler, The Creator himself. After each song, Tyler would take a moment and either thank his audience and show his appreciation for their support or take the time to shout out all of the features that were included in his album. More specifically, the California rapper took time to shed light on his surprise collaboration with NBA YoungBoy on “WUSYANAME (feat. NBA YoungBoy, Ty Dolla $ign). “Sending love to NBA YoungBoy…We kicked it a few and he is a sweet person…N****s think he is just evil, like no, he’s just fun,” Tyler explained to his crowd. Who knows, this could be a foreshadowing of many more collaborations between these two beloved artists, which is something that both of their fans clearly enjoy.
