On July 10, 2021, The Notorious Conor McGregor faced off against one of his most competitive rivals, Dustin Poirier in their third straight brawl to determine who is the better fighter. Unfortunately, Mcgregor went down with a serious injury to his tibia late in the first round and was unable to complete the fight. Poirier was obviously determined the winner and controversy have taken the world by storm as McGregor was furious that he could not compete; the Irish athlete verbally threatened and berated Poirier and his wife after the fight, which Dustin did not take lightly.

When asked if there will be a rematch between these two machines during a post-fight interview, Dustin confidently answered, “Yes there will be. Whether it is on the street or in the octagon, we will be fighting again…You don’t say the things he said.” Leading up to what we thought would be the third and final fight of their trilogy series, Jake Paul had a blast on social media taunting McGregor while predicting the correct outcome of the fight. So, after the fight concluded, Paul immediately took to his Twitter page and announced to the world that he sent Poirier a custom-made, $100k chain of McGregor laying on the floor after Poirier had knocked him out back in January. The ‘notorious’ fighter has yet to release a direct statement on the matter concerning the youngest Paul brother.

Within less than a week Dustin updated his fans that he had received the chain and that he is now auctioning it off for his very own charity, The Good Fight Foundation. Poirier’s foundation targets any type of person in need, specifically children, to help give them a better life in every aspect. He entitled the piece, ‘Sleepy McGregor’ as it will only be in the air for a short period of time; offers for this chain remain confidential until it is genuinely purchased and taken out of the hands of The Good Fight Foundation
