A collaboration between multi-platinum artist J.Cole and Puma recently released the newest version of the DREAMER 2 shoe in two different colorways. The white/gum version of the shoe had already been previously previewed to the public, but now they finally get an all-out view of the latest color mash-up that consists of a simple blue and black. The initial shoe was first seen on the cover of Legendary Hoops Magazine, in which the Germany born rapper was featured while wearing his collaborative kicks. After seeing what J. Cole had been keeping from them, fans from all across the globe immediately requested for the artist to drop the shoes and in due time, he delivered.

Normally designers put together different fabrics and colors in order to perceive their work in a certain aesthetic light, but knowing how J. Cole is there is always some sort of deeper meaning behind all of his work. The black/blue colorway is intended to paint a picture for his audience of all of the “bumps and bruises earned on the climb to greatness, a badge of honor that tells the competition: it will take a lot more than bruises to stop a DREAMER.” The structure and feel of the shoe are exactly the same as the original except for the slight adjustment to the kick’s overall color aesthetic.

The DREAMER 2s will be officially released to the public on July 30, 2021, and will be selling at a retail price of $130.00 USD throughout the world. Pretty cheap for how much time and effort was put into the creation of this meaningful shoe. Resale prices are bound to skyrocket since this simple one-of-a-kind shoe is very limited; sneakerheads are recommended to keep an eye on the clock because these kicks are currently projected to fly off the shelves.
