The entire music industry was heavily impacted after the devastating passing of Migos rapper, Takeoff, this past Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Various artists throughout the community sent their condolences to Takeoff’s family and friends such as Designer, Drake, and so many more. Taking a different approach, iconic Queens rapper 50 Cent posted the following message in regards to Quavo’s (Takeoff’s uncle) delivery of his upcoming album: “This is really how it goes,” 50 stated to his Instagram account. “You have to position this album correctly of Tkoff’s legacy… Go make a couple of changes and address everything; all artists make the best music out of painful moments. R.I.P. to Pop Smoke and R.I.P. to Takeoff.”
Official reports claim that Takeoff (28) was shot in the head and torso area by stray bullets, along with two other unidentified bystanders. Quavo and his nephew were simply partaking in a routine dice game at a local bowling alley called 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston just minutes before the incident occurred. Takeoff’s most recent and last body of work, Only Built For Infinity Links, can currently be streamed on all platforms such as Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music today.
